This privacy policy applies to the Read Notes Game app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Minjae Lee (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as

  • Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
  • The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
  • The time spent on the Application
  • The operating system you use on your mobile device

The Application does not request GPS or precise device location and does not provide location-based practice features. Advertising and analytics services may infer an approximate region from your IP address.

Practice improvement features send first-party learning events to our server: selected practice goals, note answers, use of hints, completion or exit, input method (touch or MIDI), assignment opens, app version, platform and language. These events use a random identifier stored with the app to measure repeat use from the first observation. They do not contain your account ID, email, MIDI device name, saved exercise title or microphone recordings, and are not used for cross-app advertising. Existing account-linked practice statistics are stored separately. Unsent events are kept locally for up to 30 days, with a size limit; learning events on the server are removed 180 days after receipt by a daily cleanup.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.

Third Party Access

The Application uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage and Google AdMob to provide ads. Depending on the operating system, SDK settings and your choices, these services may receive app-installation or device identifiers, IP addresses and approximate region derived from them, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information. This information is not necessarily aggregated or anonymized before transmission. Firebase Cloud Messaging is also used to deliver push notifications, using an app-instance registration token when notifications are enabled.

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

Advertising and privacy choices

On iOS, the Application requests App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization. If tracking is denied or restricted, the app requests non-personalized ads. While ATT remains unresolved, the app does not initialize its advertising SDK or load ads. Its Firebase Analytics integration excludes IDFA collection, disables IDFV collection and advertising consent settings, and enables analytics collection separately; declining ATT does not turn off all analytics.

On Android and iOS, Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) manages applicable advertising privacy choices. The app requests ads only when UMP reports that it can do so. ATT authorization alone is not advertising consent under UMP. Ad personalization depends on the platform, your choices and applicable SDK settings; neither non-personalized ads nor declining tracking means that all advertising-related data processing stops. Where required, the app's Settings provides Privacy options to review or change advertising choices. You can also manage tracking and notification permissions in your device settings.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
  • when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

Opt-Out Rights

Uninstalling the Application stops future collection by that installation. It does not itself delete information already received by us or third-party services. To request deletion of an account you signed in to, use Delete account in the app Settings; you can also contact us using the address below.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at readnotesgame@gmail.com and they will respond in a reasonable time.

Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (readnotesgame@gmail.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.

Website language preference and aggregate visits

The website remembers a language you explicitly choose in your browser's local storage. You can clear this preference in your browser settings. We count requests to our store-link pages by date, language, destination store, and source page using the website's existing server access logs. These logs may contain the IP address, request time, requested URL, referrer, and browser information used for website operation. The marketing report contains aggregate counts and does not include these identifiers. A request count is not a unique visitor, installation, or app activity.

These pages do not add advertising cookies, user identifiers, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics scripts. Google Play links may contain campaign labels for the page and language, not a personal identifier. Shared practice codes remain in URL fragments and are not included in this store-link report.
